Dwight School London is an IB World School that welcomes local and international students seeking the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme. We serve students representing a wide range of academic abilities, ranging from those who are gifted to those who may require additional learning support. Our focus is on individual progress, and our small classes, skilled professionals and positive approach helps us to maximise each student's potential. Although high academic standards are our target, we know that excellence can be achieved in many areas.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is available for students who are not fully fluent in order to make their start at the school as smooth as possible. The Quest Programme that is designed to help Dwight’s IB students with up to five lessons per week of learning support for specific educational needs is also available.

Please peruse our website to learn more about our School and the IB programmes we offer. We invite you to join a community that prides itself on global exploration and discovery and that fosters internationally-minded, inquiring learners.

With students applying from over 50 countries, Dwight does not have an admissions test, but bases decisions on the student’s previous academic record.

The Admissions Process

As part of the admissions process, in addition to completing the online Application Form you will be asked to provide the following:

  • passport photo;
  • copy of birth certificate/passport;
  • copies of school reports for the previous two years (we may ask to have these translated);
  • a reference form from the last school (you will need to have your child's teachers email address);
  • a parent statement about the student;
  • a student essay (a short piece of age-appropriate writing) for the applicant to share something about him/herself;
  • a language profile to help us understand the student’s linguistic background; and,
  • any other supporting documents we may request that helps us to form a better understanding of the student.

On submitting the Application Form you will receive an invoice for the £200 non-refundable Application Fee. You may pay this online via a credit/debit card.

Once we have received these documents and the Application Fee the completed file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and you will be informed in writing of the decision whether a place will be offered, declined, waitlisted or whether further steps are to be taken. Once offered a place, in order to secure your child's place you must complete the Acceptance Form and pay the Deposit.

We are happy to meet students, or to have Skype interviews with families and students, and in some cases we may require a taster day so that we can evaluate the student in the context of our school. As a school serving an internationally-mobile community we do our best to accommodate families visiting at short notice.

For more information please use our Enquiry Form. This merely registers your interest with us and is in no way an obligation to submit a formal application. If you are ready to start a formal application or complete an existing one please use the link below. All of the admissions documents you require to complete an application are found on the site.
