ISI Report
The ISI is appointed by the Department for Education to inspect all independent schools in England and these inspections are thorough, rigorous and dig deep into the workings of a school.
Dwight was last inspected in March 2022, which found that Dwight School London is a school of excellence in all areas. All areas of compliance were deemed to be met, and students' academic and other achievements as well as their personal development were considered to be excellent. This is the top rating for an independent school.
The ISI inspectors said that, “Pupils display an outstanding ability to make decisions in their learning, fostered by the school’s approach to teaching and the extent to which pupils are encouraged to take leadership in their learning.”
"Pupils have the utmost regard for diversity and value the individual identities of those around them."
"Pupils of all abilities achieve highly."
"Pupils are independent thinkers and take leadership in their learning seriously.”
Good Schools Guide

The Good Schools Guide review says, "Dwight is a school where the education of the ‘whole child’ and the learning journey genuinely appear to be as important as exam results. A brave but rewarding choice for London-born children (‘none of my friends had heard of Dwight before,' said one parent) - those looking for something a bit different and outside of the English curriculum. And a safe bet for international students who want the benefit of the IB in a more localised setting. The school does all it can to provide each student with opportunities to pursue their individual interests, all within the IB context. ‘It’s a kind school.’ "
IB Evaluation Report
Every IB World School is regularly evaluated to ensure that the standards and practices of its IB programme(s) are being maintained. In Dwight's last evaluation, the IB visiting team said that "students could clearly identify how they made decisions and influenced their own learning" and that the school "demonstrated very clearly a deep understanding of, and commitment to, the IB philosophy."
"Classroom visits and conversations with staff, parents and students identified the ways in which the school addressed the wide range of student competencies, experiences, learning needs and styles. Conversations and school documentation evidenced that the school has well established systems in place for supporting students with specific learning and/or language needs. Interviews with support staff showed that the school provides a high ratio of staff to students for supporting students with specific learning and/or language needs."
