Junior School Sport
The PE Department at Dwight Junior School offers students the opportunity to engage with a variety of sports throughout the curriculum including football, basketball, netball, floor hockey, cricket, tennis and badminton. We aim to develop and extend students' skills whilst giving them a chance to experience as many different sports as possible at a young age.
After school clubs are another way students can get involved with sport at the Junior School. We offer a range of sports clubs, varying each term, some of which have been chosen by the students themselves. These clubs are a great way for students to stay active, improve their abilities and socialise with friends.
Many of our students take part in competitive sports. Our Junior School has a football, swimming and cross country team. Students selected for these teams take part in training sessions and compete against other schools in London.
Senior School Sport
Our school offers a wide range of sports, to students of all ages. We aim to develop and extend their skills whilst giving students a chance to experience as many different sports as possible to enthuse their love for sporting activities.
Inter-school sport is an important part of our school culture, regular training is provided with a high level of coaching, allowing students to compete in regional leagues. Our inter-school teams play not only in London, but in competitions nationally and internationally. We encourage students to explore their competitive side through sport.
We are fortunate to own sporting facilities fully equipped with a large field and multi use gaming area, which hosts our Physical and Health Education (PHE) lessons, training for extra-curricular opportunities and team training.
