Dear parents and carers, as we continue to think of ways to better serve our students and their educational goals, we are considering shifting the school day for the Diploma students.  This would be done in recognition of their changing needs and the most current research on teenage sleep patterns and it’s effect on educational outcomes. In addition, this change would offer Diploma students increased access to specialist classrooms.

The proposal shifts the schedule for Diploma students only to 9:30-4:40 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Monday and Tuesday would remain the same  (8:30-3:40).  If approved, this would go into effect September, 2019 giving families time to prepare for the different schedule.
