Bus Survey

Dear Parents

Following on from our transport survey last term, we found there was quite a bit of interest in the possibility of both express pick-up point bus routes as well as late bus services. We are now asking for more information so that we can identify the particular areas and numbers of interest for each service. Therefore we would appreciate it if you would complete the fields below, unlike the previous service which was anonymous, we need to ask for names and addresses. This does not constitute a comittment on your part, but it will help us to plan and evaluate further. It will also help to enable us to look at costings for a pick-up point service.

If you are not interested in any of these services, you do not need to fill in the form.

Part 2

We are considering extending our morning Underground shuttle service from Arnos Grove Tube Station (Piccadilly Line) to the Upper School only.

Part 3

We are aware that staying after school for activities can present a challenge for families whose children normally use the school’s bus services. We are considering introducing late afternoon shuttle services for Upper School students.

Part 4

The reason for the increase in door-to-door bus fees this year is that previously the school subsidized this service, and it was felt that it was unreasonable to expect all Dwight students to subsidise the transportation of a portion of the community. On this same basis, we are considering introducing a small charge for regular users of the shuttle bus services currently on offer.

Part 5

We are considering a late drop-off point bus service for students who wish to stay after school for extra-curricular activities.

As we now have two routes that serve the Regents Park/St John’s Wood area, we are considering offering an express route that would stop at designated drop-off points, for example Temple Fortune, Golders Green, Child's Hill, Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage, St Johns Wood. Another possibility would be a bus serving East Finchley area.

This service would only be available to Lower and Upper School students who are regular users of the door-to-door or express route services.
