Learning in the Lower School

Our Reception students have been learning about spring. They went on a school trip on Monday and whilst they were on the trip they did some detective work. Their task was to start looking for signs of spring in Grovelands Park. They were very inquisitive and they found some crocuses and daffodils. They think that spring is here, and we all hope they are right!

Year 4 students have been enjoying their first residential trip at Moat Mount. They have been learning about map reading, nature, team building, conquering assault courses, and archery. Throughout the two days they have been learning to be more independent, extending their risk-taking and working well collaboratively in different teams. Mrs. Brooks and Mr. van den Bosch were very impressed with the students' behaviour and their willingness to try out new things.

Year 6 are starting preparations for their trip to Dwight New York. Our students and their New York colleagues in Grade 5 are starting to link up electronically via Skype and Edmodo. The excitement is beginning to build up as they look forward to meeting one another in May.

Congratulations to Haruki Y2, Angad Y4, Ayane Y4, Raoul Y6, Eliza Y3, Noy Y3 Joshua Y5 and Shira in Y5. They have become our Dwight Scientists.
