| Our Year 3 students have been busy compiling graphs about how much electricity people use throughout the week. To follow this up they also visited the Science Museum on Wednesday and looked at electrical power, renewable energy and how technology has changed. Mr. Slane and Mrs Duggan were impressed with the way all of the Year 3 students behaved. They also liked how knowledgeable Tamar was about energy and how enthusiastic Oliver was to find out how TVs have changed over the decades. |  | Year 5 students have been enjoying their residential trip to Flatford Mill. They have been learning about mammals, river life, and nature in one of the most scenic places in the country. They have been compiling factual charts about mammals and they have been identifying mammals by using branching databases. Miss Tye, Miss Larragy and Mrs. Gaylor have been pleased with the way the students have responded to the challenge of a two-night residential. The teachers have also been pleased with the good weather.

| Reception students have been to the allotment this week to pick out more items linked to nature and spring such as cones and flowers. They also went to Willows Farm on Wednesday to look after some animals and to see what spring is like on a working farm. | |
Mr Cusack and Miss Hendry took our children out to a Cross Country Competition on Friday afternoon. At the time of writing this we do not know how they have got on. We hope that Kei, Will, Kanta, Klara, Moeka, Ivan, Zee and Noah, do well in the Under 13 category and that Takuya, Danny, Emma, Noah, Ben, Bruno, Antoni and Oliver enjoy their time in the Under 11 category. I hope to update you next week about our results. Year 6 are celebrating diversity next week by sharing the story of The Boy in the Dress by David Walliams with different classes. It is great to see students take responsibility and follow up their learning by taking action and sharing their thoughts about this story.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
 Our Year 3 to Year 6 performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will take place on Wednesday, 23rd March. The show is free to view; however, we will need to limit spaces to two per family. The show will start at 6.30pm and should be completed by 8.00pm. All of the students from Year 3 to 6 are involved and they are welcome to come to the school between 5.50pm and 6.10pm ready to perform. The audience needs to meet in the Art Room where there will be some refreshments. The doors to the hall will open at 6.15pm.

We didn’t have an assembly this week so our super question is still What new Olympic sport involving eagles, will take place during the Summer Olympics in Rio 2016?
Language of the Week
Our language of the week continues to be Korean. Next Week
Here are a few reminders that next week is our last week before we break up. We have a Development Tuesday session on Tuesday, 22nd that will mean that school will close early at 2.30pm. During these sessions the Lower school staff will take part in a training session about teaching EAL. We have our Year 3 to Year 6 performance on Wednesday evening and on Thursday it is the Year 4 cake sale that concludes our last day of this term. We return to school on Monday, 18th April.
