Dear Parents,
We are running a large community event that we would like you to attend if possible. The event will take place between 8.45-10.20am on Friday, 31st March - it would be great to see you there!
The event consists of a sponsored Fun Run followed by an International Breakfast.
What will happen?
Sponsored Fun Run
K1, K2, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will run for 10 minutes around the perimeter of the bottom playground from 9.00–9.10am. They will then go to the hall to collect breakfast and eat in their own classroom. Important! Children need to come to school dressed in their school tracksuit and bring their school clothes to change in to. Kindergarten will run in their Kindergarten uniform.
Meanwhile all of Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 will go to Swan Lane Park (across the road) at 9.00am for a 20-minute parent and child run. After returning to school they will collect breakfast from the hall and eat in their classrooms. Important! Children need to come to school dressed in their school tracksuit and bring their school clothes to change in to.
Children and parents are encouraged, but not required to get sponsorship for the Fun Run. Forms are available to download here or can be picked up from the Lower School Office. The money raised will be split 25% to each of the charities we support, The North London Hospice and Warchild. The other 50% will go to the Parent Association to support activities and additional resources for the Lower School children.
International Breakfast
Also on Friday, 31st March it is our International Breakfast. This will be eaten after the run. We would like to give you the opportunity to eat breakfast with your child at school. In order to make it truly international we need your help. Please bring a plate to share of what you would usually eat for breakfast. We will be setting up the hall from 7.45am.
Parents do not have to stay all through breakfast if they choose not to and we would like to resume the school routine after morning break. (10.20am) We would like to remind you that we are a nut free school and it would be helpful if you could attach a label to your food stating whether it is vegetarian and contains pork or beef. If you have any concerns please speak to your child's teacher or provide a snack/breakfast for your child.
Please fill in the online form here by Monday, 27th March if you can contribute to the breakfast. The hall will be ready to set up by 7.45am on Friday and plates, cups, spoons, knives and forks will be provided by the school.
This will be our 7th annual Fun Run and Breakfast. It should be an exciting day, we hope you can join us!
