Lower School Winter Fair

Dear Parents,

We would love to invite you to the Dwight School Winter Fair on Thursday, 14th December from 2.00pm to 4.30pm in the Lower School.

What is the Winter Fair
This is a Dwight Parents Association (DPA) event run by Lower School parents, therefore we are reliant on parent support to make this a wonderful event for our children.

It will be an afternoon of food and fun with a bouncy castle, a hoola-hoop competition, games such as name the bear and hook a bauble. We will have hot drinks, such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate that you can enjoy with a cookie that you son/daughter decorated, or a treat from the cake stall. We will have nail painting, fun questionnaires, a glitter tattoo stall, second-hand toys and a game and book stall. Not forgetting our second-hand uniform stall, the fudge games lady, a selection of international finger food, mulled wine, mince pies, the Christmas lights, football and basketball games and the selection of wonderful hampers to be won!!! Even Santa will be visiting us!!

Ticket and Token Purchase
You can book online on via your son/daughter's Wisepay account. For £2.00 you get an entrance ticket, a raffle ticket and four tokens worth 50p each, please note children aged three years and over will need a ticket to enter. If you wish to purchase additional tokens, please add additional tickets at the WisePay checkout. These are sold in bundles of 4 for £2 including a raffle ticket. The teachers will then hand out the tokens and tickets on the day of the fair. Tokens and Raffle tickets can also be purchased on the day.

Parents Welcome

Parents are welcome from 2.00pm, the Winter Fair closes at 4.30pm.

Cake Stall
We are asking each class to donate one cake to the cake stall. Please let your class rep know if you can donate a cake. Please note that the school is a nut free zone.

International Food Stall
We are also looking for parents to donate any international finger food (preferably homemade) for the International stall. We are also looking for volunteers to work at the international stall during the fair. If you are not working on your class stall please can you let your class rep know if you can work at the International stall. It only has to be for half an hour.

International Decorations

Over the next two weeks please ask your son/daughter to make international, winter decorations to put on the Winter/Christmas tree for the day of the fair. We will leave a box at reception for the decorations.

2nd Hand Uniform & 2nd Hand Toy, book and Game Stall
Please don't forget to bring in second-hand uniform and toys, games and books for our stalls. These need to be brought in on Wednesday, 13th December, the day before the Fair. Please do not bring in any soft toys (unhygienic. Everything must be in good enough condition to be sold again. Please can you also ensure if you are donating uniforms that they are washed beforehand.

Please bring cash on the day of the fair if you are planning to buy school uniform.
