Dwight Parent Association Newsletter

Dear Parents

Communication between Dwight and Parents has so far been exceptionally brilliant with information being filtered through quickly and efficiently. However, communication between parents is not always easy unless you personally know parents either in your child's class or through other means. As the Dwight Parent Association aim to build a better, stronger and happier school community we have signed up both the Upper and Lower school to Classlist, an app which will help us achieve that aim. Classlist is not only another means of safe communication between parents of the school but also a means of providing support and assistance to each other. So far, we've had questions and answers on finding piano teachers and there is also a section for buying and selling items so you really can get involved. More information on Classlist and to download the app can be found here.

Michele, our Out and About and Parent Ambassador Coordinator, had her first trip with the Out and About group for a delightful day at Chiswick House where they toured the beautiful house and gardens. Despite the recent storms, the weather had broken to allow for a lovely day and they were all able to experience a prime example of 18th-century British architecture in all its glory.

We are already four weeks from the first half term (22nd - 26th October) so if you are looking for fun activities for all the family, check out Visit London with 101 things to do here. You can see Tower Bridge, explore the museums or end up in Covent Garden watching the street performers.

If you need care for your child during the half term, Miss Olver, Dwight's Year 1 Classroom Assistant and Out of Hours Manager, is running Dwight Cubs. Our very own holiday club at the Lower School. The booking form has gone live and so you can register now here. The deadline is Friday, 12th October at 4pm. Please note that the holiday club is for children aged 3 - 7.

There are other holiday club providers in and around the area that are suitable for older children who cannot attend Dwight Cubs. Sign up may not be available as of yet but will be within the next couple of weeks. Please do sign up as soon as you can as places go very quickly.

Please note: Dwight School London does not endorse any goods, services or recommendations made in this newsletter by contributors.
