Dwight Parent Association Newsletter

Dear Parents

After last week's newsletter at least 20 parents uploaded the Classlist app and joined the Dwight Upper and Lower school's latest method of communication between parents. For those who would like more information on Classlist please know that:

  • It is safe and fully private; every member is authenticated and content is moderated.
  • It is a forum for parents to message each other easily and you can decide how much of your contact details are shared.
  • It can be used as a Marketplace to buy, sell and recommend items.
  • It is a space to arrange events quickly.
  • It is a great way to stay connected about class trips, homework, parenting tips and it allows you the opportunity to help other parents or let them help you.

More information on Classlist and to download the app can be found here.

We are just three weeks away from the first half term (22nd - 26th October) so if you are looking for fun activities for all the family, check out Visit London with 101 things to do here. You can see Tower Bridge, explore the number of museums London has to offer or end up in Covent Garden watching the street performers.

If you need care for your child during the half term, Miss Olver, Dwight's Year 1 Classroom Assistant and Out of Hours Manager, is running Dwight Cubs. Our very own holiday club at the Lower School. The booking form has gone live and so you can register now here. The deadline is Friday, 12th October at 4pm. Please note that the holiday club is for children aged 3 - 7.

There are other holiday club providers in and around the area that are suitable for older children who cannot attend Dwight Cubs. Sign up may not be available as of yet but will be within the next couple of weeks. Please do sign up as soon as you can as places go very quickly.
