This Week in Upper School

Football Update from Miss Goddard
The boys Junior team played against St. Aubyn's this week. The final score was 0-0 however that did not reflect the match well... we dominated! The boys played a great game and there were a few goal mouth scrambles which we unfortunately missed. We also should have been awarded a penalty in the final minute of the game (we were robbed!). Special mention to our man of the match Daisuke who was like a wall in goal! Overall it was a very good performance and we are very excited for next season. Thank you to Gabriel (M5) for coming along and being a great coach!

Sport Relief Pool Party
The sports staff department would like to share the following activity that takes place during the half-term break and is a fundraiser for the Sports Relief charity.

Come along to our Pool Party for a fun filled 90 minutes of games and activities.
Go head to head with a friend or family member in a battle against our inflatable obstacle course. Duck and dive your way through the course as fast as you can without falling into the water.
When: Wednesday 17th February – 10am-11.30am
Where: Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre
Cost: minimum £2 donation. Here at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre we want to raise as much money towards this excellent charity as we can.
On behalf of everyone at Copthall Leisure Centre we thank you for your support!

Car Parking at Jubilee
We are aware that parking can be issue, although we are fortunate that there are no  parking restrictions in the streets around the Upper School. We do at times however, have a problem with staff/visitors not parking in the designated parking bays in the Jubilee car park.

It is a fire hazard/risk to students when vehicles are parked outside of the white marked bays on the yellow lines. Furthermore, when we have delivery driver come into the car park, they need to be able to turn around, so as to prevent them from having to reverse out onto the main road. We thank you for your support with this issue.

New York
Our musicians are now in New York and working hard in their rehearsals to get ready for their concert at Carnegie Hall tomorrow evening. Take a look at our Facebook and Instagram pages for the latest photos and videos!

M5 Twightlight Zone
Ms. Watson is hosting two evening sessions for M5 students, as part of the preparations for the e-assessments in May. Whilst such opportunities should be seen by some as a chance to further and deepen understandings, I also want to reassure others that these classes are not essential for success, and that we would be expecting the majority of students to be reviewing their materials from M4 and M5 themselves in readiness for May.
