Dear parents and students,
With yesterday's announcement that final examinations will not go ahead this year in May or June, we realise that you must have many questions regarding what this means for you/your child and plans for the coming year.
At this time, we are awaiting further details from the IBO, the Department for Education and Universities and Colleges regarding qualifications and routes to Higher Education. As soon as we have reliable and accurate information to share with you, we will be sending you further details and guidance.
In the meantime, I want to assure you that even though the school buildings will be closed, a key priority at the moment is to support our D2 students. You should have received the school's provisions for remote learning, accompanied by a weekly schedule identifying which lessons will be done via video. This schedule also shows a time for when students are able to check in with our University Guidance Counsellor, and a time for them to be checking in with their tutor. All teachers are still busy working and we will continue to support and guide you through this time of unprecedented uncertainty.
Warm regards
Alison Cobbin, Chris Beddows and William Bowry
