Friday, 24th April, 2020 Welcome from the Head of School Welcome back for the Summer term. We have been blessed with springtime weather and although we are spending more time at home, mother nature continues to do her thing and Spring has been delighting us with buds and blooms and sunshine.

Please take time to complete the LS Survey here to help with this process.
Distance Learning Survey for Lower School
I have been lucky enough to spend time in all of the virtual classes this week, as well as some clubs, specialist lessons and assemblies. The students' quality of work, their creativity and joy of learning never ceases to amaze me. I'm proud to see the same commitment and enthusiasm in their homes as we would see in our school setting.
There are many examples of inquiries to share with you and I would especially like to pick out Leo in Year 4 who has inquired, researched and produced a report about Coronavirus using WHO and CDC. Also Iman in Year 6 who helped source some ways to pass all of that time in lockdown with some useful Film & TV recommendations for Upper Primary students. Well done to you both and to all the students returning back after the Easter break. I look forward to sharing more learning in the weeks ahead. UPPER SCHOOL Remote Learning Surveys Dear Families, As we are now fully into the second phase of remote learning post Easter Break, we are sending you the next group of remote learning surveys. Your feedback in support of our teachers has been invaluable, and we have incorporated suggestions to help refine teaching and learning plans, modify schedules, and add some new elements and events to promote student wellness, mindfulness, and social interaction.
As so many of you took the time and great care to complete our previous surveys, please do not feel that you must complete the survey again unless you have something to add.
A final note about remote learning. There is an expectation that students are in appropriate dress code for their lessons, and that they are fully focused. Cameras should be turned on, there should be a suitable place to work and there should be no eating during the video lessons. Upper School Library Updates

WHOLE SCHOOL Family activities to celebrate Earth Day This weekend you might want to enjoy some activities inspired by Earth Day:
Alumni performs on Britain's Got Talent We are very excited to announce that a former Dwight student and gifted musician, Jacques Jervis, is performing on Britain's Got Talent this Saturday! He will be playing cello as part of an orchestra called Chineke Juniors. Mr Kraft describes Jacques as "fully committed and very successful when performing in our school concerts, both as a soloist and as a valued member of our school ensembles and the Haringey Youth Symphony Orchestra. His performances were inspiring and greatly appreciated by everyone in our school". Jacques graduated in 2018, so I am sure many of you will remember him and will want to see his great musical talents again! Tune into ITV at 8pm.
