This Week in Upper School

M4 Drama
Please put a note in your diary to come along to the Japanese Music and Drama performances which are going to be held on Thursday, 28th April 2016 at 7pm. Our M4 Theatre Arts students have been working on these and we shall be serving Japanese style snacks before the show and during the interval.

M4 music students will present two Japanese numbers and some of these students will also be performing along with the drama students a selection of seven mini comic Kyogen style Japanese plays (but in spoken English).

We shall be giving the funds from the food sales and donations given at the door to the charity which supports the victims of the recent Japanese Earthquake in Kumamtoto City.

IB Diploma: The IB Diploma students have now completed their studies and they have a few days of study leave to prepare for the examinations in May. They are, of course, welcome to come in to school next week for support and guidance.

IBMYP: The M5 students are in the process of completing their trial run of the e-assessments. They have already completed a run through in Science, and next week they will be completing full assessments in Maths, English and Individuals and Societies. After next week there are just four school days left before the actual e-assessments, with the schedule being:

10th May - afternoon - Integrated Humanities
11th May - morning - French - one student only
12th May - afternoon - Maths
13th May - morning - English
19th May - morning - Science
20th May - afternoon - Interdisciplinary

During these two weeks the students will only be expected to attend school on the assessment days.

Internal Assessments: Immediately after the half-term break, we will be staging our internal assessments. M1 to M3 students will do these within the regular timetable and will be expected to attend school as usual. M4, M5 and D1 will attend for the exam sessions only.
