News from the Upper School

Staff Update

As announced last week, Helen Gray will be leaving us at the end of September and I am pleased to announce that Mr. Javier Dominguez Reguero will be taking on her role in the Dwight office. Javier is already working alongside Helen. We are all looking forward to working with him and we ask parents to please come and introduce yourselves to him at an opportune time.

Language Progression
A few parents have been asking about our Language progression in both the IB MYP and IB DP. So as to help answer these questions, Mr. Sanchez has put some information together, please click here to view it.

Sports Ambassadors

This week Mr. Dacanay held a meeting for students in M1-M5 who are interested in becoming Sports Ambassadors for Dwight. This will be an excellent opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills and we look forward to sharing more about their activities in future newsletters.

Upcoming Trip Information

Please ensure that all students arrive on time for the residential trips that begin on Wednesday next week. (With the exception of M5, who will be in school as usual).

Similarly, please be on time to collect them on Friday afternoon.

28th September Departure:

• M1, M2, M3 please arrive before 8.30am
  
• M4 please arrive before 9.30am
• D1, D2 please arrive before 9.00am

30th September Collection:

• M1, M2, M3 4.00pm at Dwight
• M4 4.15pm at Dwight
• D1, D2 4.30-5.00pm at Jubilee

During these days, as well as M5 students working on Personal Projects, having a series of PSHE lessons, and preparing for work experience, we shall also be giving Year 5 and Year 6 students the opportunity to experience life in the Upper School.
