Dear Parents,
Your child is invited to try out for the Dwight School London Swim Team. The trials will take place on Tuesday, 4th October for Year 3 and 4 students and Tuesday, 11th October for Year 5 and 6 students at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre.
Students will be transported by coach from the Lower School, leaving at 9.45am and returning to school at approximately 11.45am. A member of staff at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre and I will be poolside to facilitate the swim trials and supervise the students.
Please note that not every child who attends the trial sessions will make the swim team. It has been great to see that there has been a large amount of interest from Year 3- 6 students this year, however this does mean only a selected number will be chosen to represent the school at the London Borough of Barnet Primary Schools Swimming Championships on Thursday, 17th November 2016. Students who wish to try out should be attending regular swimming lessons outside of school and be able to comfortably finish a 25m race.
To indicate which events your child would like to try out for, please click here and register by Monday, 3rd October.
Please ensure that your child brings an appropriate bathing suit, towel, swimming cap and swimming goggles to the swim trials. A student will not be allowed to participate in the trials without these required items.
