IBMYP e-assessments

There will be an information session regarding the May 2017 M5 MYP e-assessments on 8th November which is the same evening as the M4/M5 consultations. More information regarding the format of the event will be sent nearer to the date.

Mrs. Cobbin is currently at the Annual International Baccalaureate Africa, Europe and Middle East (AEM) Regional Conference in Barcelona, and she is discussing a number of issues related to the MYP e-Assessments with representatives of the IB Organisation.

We look forward to hearing her updates on 8th November.

Trips
I am pleased to say that the trips last week were very successful. I know that all the members of staff who accompanied the students were very impressed with their involvement and behaviour and that a great deal of learning took place. Language Assembly
This week the Language Aquisition students wowed us at their assembly. We were treated to food and activities from all over the world as the students celebrated our internationalism. We had stalls representing all the languages taught at the school: French, Italian, English, Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish.

This event really showed a great spirit of collaboration and community among our teachers and students. Everybody was keen to participate in the various games and activities. The hall was filled with colours, smells, music and above all, a love for the languages and cultures represented at the event. A big thank you to our language teachers for organising this special assembly and to the students who made it such a huge success. To view photos from the event, please click here.

University Evening
Thank you to Ms. McCaffrey, Mrs. Hendricks and Mr. Johnson for their work in preparing the university information evening this week. It was well attended and I have heard some very positive feedback from it.

Jeans for Genes Day
The Friday before we all headed off on trips was Jeans for Genes Day where all students wore an item of denim clothing and donated £2 to the charity. The total amount raised was £275.00 in the Upper School - well done and thank you to all of the students and staff members who took part and donated! https://www.jeansforgenesday.org/

Open House and IB Information Evening
