Learning in the Lower School

Ace Time

On Wednesday it was our French Day. We covered topics such as The Tour de France,  The artiste Matisse and The Eiffel Tower. We ate croissants and pain au chocolat at break with coq au vin (sans vin!) for lunch. The students attended a puppet show, in French of course! We also had a specialist French story-teller called Fanny who read different French stories to each of the year groups. It was a lovely day - Merci beaucoup to all and particularly Mme. Bamberger and Mrs. Sutton for their help, organisation and encouragement. To view more photos from the day, please click here.

Year 6 have shared their human body process models with us all this week. they are displayed in the main corridor. It is great to see them demonstrate their learning in such a variety of different ways

Year 1 and 2 had a great trip to the Wallace collection, Elliot in Year 2 informed me that he really liked the horse armour.

Next week we will be celebrating Children in Need Day  along with many other schools in the UK. Kindergarten and Reception Trip

Kindergarten and Reception will be visiting a Forest School at Highgate on Monday afternoon next week . This is an invaluable part of their studies as it helps children develop their self-esteem and confidence through hands-on learning experiences.

Super Question and Language of the Week

Rose in Year 5 identified that French was very obviously going to be the language of the week this week - merci beaucoup Rose.

The Super Question was answered by Sara in Year 6, who answered that 446 would be the age of Guy Fawkes if he were still alive today.

In line with French Day we have set the following Super Question for Monday. We have asked who is the current President of France?
