Early Years Newsletter

This week's news from Kindergarten and Reception

Dear Parents,

It has been a very fun-packed term and the children are no doubt ready for a rest.

Thank you for attending the Christmas show on Tuesday. I am sure you will agree the children were all stars! You can see some of the photos from the show here.

This week we:

  • had our dress rehearsal and performance of Snowman at Sunset.
  • made Christmas baubles, paper chains and party hats.
  • painted on foil using wintery colours.
  • continued to sculpt with clay.
  • completed our end of unit assessment for Let's Play. The children worked in small groups and their challenge was to choose a game, decide on the rules and try to work out any disagreements with minimal help from the teachers. We were pleased to observe many of the strategies that we have taught over the course of the unit.
  • played with the chocolate playdough.
  • had Christmas lunch on Thursday.
  • enjoyed our end of year party, especially the visit from Santa - thank you for your contributions.

We would like to thank you all for the generosity you have shown to us. We were overwhelmed by your Christmas gifts.

Thank you so much from all of the EYFS Team!

Our gift to you is this video of your little stars performing
