Dear Parents, Colleagues and Students,

As our big day at the Finchley artsdepot is now rapidly approaching, I thought it would be useful to give you an update on our preparations and the run-up to the event. Similar to our concert in November 2015, every student from Year 3 through to Diploma level will be involved, either actively as a performer or as part of the audience to appreciate and celebrate the amazing talent we have amongst our students at Dwight. We are confident and excited  this year's theme Music and Dance will provide a great format to showcase year group performances by all our Lower School students, the Upper School ensembles such as the choir and the jazz band and also by our accomplished soloists. We will also have selected dance acts, the Dwight Community Choir who will make an appearance on stage and even the music teachers are working hard on a musical contribution. The show will of course start and end with a joint performance by all participants across the school, and in our rehearsals at both Woodside and Jubilee you can already sense rising excitement levels amongst students and teachers!

Tickets

Tickets can only be booked online. We have unallocated seating, but all seats in the theatre offer a good view of the stage. You will, however, have a better chance to sit closer to the front of the auditorium if you arrive early.

Please note that Dwight students, who are not actively performing in the concert, require a ticket. These tickets can be booked online free of charge.

Students involved in performances will be seated in blocked areas of the theatre and do therefore not require a ticket. Please do not book tickets for them as we would lose track of available/reserved seating. Booked tickets will be sent to the relevant school office for distribution, once we have received them from the venue.

Dress Code

Upper School students performing on stage must wear formal dress in black and white with a colourful accessory such as a tie, scarf etc. Lower School students must wear their performance costumes.

We will provide you with more detailed information on timings and logistics of the day, closer to the event. For now, please do not delay to book your tickets as they are selling very fast and we are expecting a full house.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further suggestions, questions or queries.

Best Regards
