Summer Fair and Non-uniform days

We shall be holding two non-uniform days on the 16th and 23rd of June in order to collect items for the upcoming Summer Fair on the 24th June.

16th June - please send in unopened bottles - this could be wine, beer, etc or it could be items such as olive oil. These will be used as prizes on the tombola stall.

23rd June - please send in unwanted books, dvd's, toys, games and good bric-a-brac.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, 24th June for a fun-filled day!

M4 Personal Project

Ms. Villatte, who has taken over from Mr. Lowry in leading the Personal Projects, has now got M4 off to a good start with this very significant aspect of the IB Middle Years Programme. All M4 students should now have a good idea of what they are doing and it is during the summer vacation that they will complete a large part of it.

M5 - Bushcraft and Fashion Show
Having enjoyed it so much in earlier years, we are taking eleven M5 students to Little Marlow for a three-day bushcraft course next week. The rest of M5 are working with M1 and Year 4 on a fashion show using recycled materials.

Author Visit

Today, Friday, 9th June we had a visit from Suzanne Leal who lead M1, M2 and M3 through a series of workshops.

A short bio from the amazon website tells us:

SUZANNE LEAL is a lawyer experienced in child protection, criminal law and refugee law. A former legal commentator on ABC Radio, Suzanne is a regular interviewer at Sydney Writers' Festival and other literary functions. She has been a judge for the NSW Premier's Literary Awards and for 'The Nib' Waverley Library Award for Literature. The Teacher's Secret is her second novel.

Internal Assessment and Reports

As you will know, students are currently working through a number of assessment papers that will help to determine their final grade - but by no means are they the only determinant of the grade.  As usual, school reports will follow at the end of the school year.

We are really excited to announce our Whole School Yearbook is now complete. This year it features over 190 pages of memories from Kindergarten to D2 from this academic year.

We are delighted to be able to offer the same discounted price as last year of £20 to anyone that orders the Yearbook by Monday, 9th June. The yearbooks will arrive before the final week of term and only a limited amount will be available without pre-ordering at £25.

To order Yearbooks, please click here and pay online using our secure system.

Come and join the fun at the Dwight Community Choir, the social singing event for parents & staff at Dwight Jubilee Hall.
