Please enjoy the Dwight New York and Dwight London students' collaborative CAS project of black and white photographs of the New York and London underground transport systems.
The objective was to use both cities as living classrooms and to learn how similar or different they are. The students involved found many differences and incredible similarities between the two sets of images.
They worked collaboratively to achieve their findings. They found the New York underground transport system tends to be more uniform in its construction, a very simple grid system allows for consistency between stations. Whereas, The London Underground seems to have a variety of different station designs.
They concluded, however, that both cities systems adopt this black and white filter very effectively in portraying the grim, dark and dingy environments in these images.
