Diversity & Inclusion
We ensure that our school is fully inclusive in meeting the needs of all children. We recognise that children and their families come from diverse backgrounds. All families have needs and values that arise from their social and economic, ethnic and cultural or religious backgrounds. Children grow up in diverse family structures that include two parent and one parent families; some children have two parents of the same sex. Some children have close links with extended families of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins; while others may be more removed from close kin, or may live with other relatives or foster carers.

Next year we are embarking on gaining an anti-racism award from the Centre of Race, Education & Decoloniality. Throughout the year we will take a look at various areas of the school to ensure we are doing all that we can to promote equity and racial equality at Dwight. Aldaine has been working on promoting equality, justice and awareness of diversity and inclusion issues in London. The Dwight family of schools has recognised the outstanding work he has done, and the need for the Dwight schools to join together in our efforts to promote diversity, inclusion and equity; Aldaine has been appointed to coordinate these efforts.
