Forest School returns
Miss Tomlin, Maddie the dog, and several of our Lower School classes have started Forest School again this week. We use Moat Mount as a location to give our children a chance to connect with nature, as well as an opportunity to show their creative, courageous and collaborative skills. Here is a photo that was uploaded to our Dwight Forest School Instagram account featuring Year 1/ 2 GT and their bucket seats!
Question and Answer
As we settle into routines, several parents have raised some more questions that may be pertinent to you...
Will the extended day start soon?
We had planned to run an "Elms" extended day provision from 5 - 6:30pm this half term. Unfortunately, there was not enough uptake. We will be trying again after half term.
When do clubs start?
We are excited about our clubs returning and with mixed year groups for the first time since March 2020! We will officially start our clubs on Monday 27th September. We will be sending out letters on Monday 20th with registration instructions. The registration period will be from noon on Monday 20th to 9am on Thursday 23rd.
When are we allowed in school to pick up and drop off?
We are currently asking parents to pick up and drop off outside school at the moment. This will certainly change in the future and is just part of ensuring that we minimise risks.
When does homework start?
This week is the answer! It is likely that we will be sending it to you via email for now as we gently move across to Toddle. There will be an online Toddle workshop on Monday 27th September - further details to follow.
Is it true there is a photo day next week?
Yes, Lower School photos take place on Tuesday 21st September. Please make sure your child brushes their teeth and combs their hair - unlike a certain child below!
