Welcome to 2019! I hope you all had a refreshing and festive break and that you are looking forward to an exciting and satisfying 2019.
I was lucky enough to spend some of the break on Bronte Beach in Sydney. I was surprised to discover that before 6am on Christmas day a team of council workers were out on the beach picking up litter, bringing in additional bins and cleaning the barbecues to make sure that everything was ready for the crowds who descended on the beach to enjoy their festivities in the sun. I found this quite inspiring and it reminded me of how much we depend on the willing workers who get things done behind the scenes, often without much recognition or appreciation from others for what they do to make our lives better.
On this note, I would like to thank all those who worked behind the scenes at Dwight over the Christmas break; the maintenance, cleaning, IT, marketing, admissions, admin and finance teams who kept the ship afloat and ensured that everything was ready for the children to return this week. We are all benefiting from their hard work and it is much appreciated.
Best wishes to everyone for a happy and safe year.
