Dwight School offers a diverse and exciting range of activities. These extracurricular delights allow students to be agents in their own pursuits and pick something that appeals to their unique Sparks of Genius.
Extracurricular clubs by school
Junior School
Our extracurricular programme consists of two parts:
- Breakfast Club and After School Club (DASH) - Breakfast Club starts at 7:45am, and the After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 5:30pm. Sign-up for these clubs is currently open here >
- After School Activities - In Term 1, these will run from Monday 7th September until Friday 4th December. They take place from the end of the school day until 4:40pm. At 4:40pm, students can either be collected at the Junior School Eco student entrance or transition to After School Club (DASH).

| Chinese Watercolour (10 spaces) | Years 4-6 | We will paint using Chinese brushes and ink. Learn the skill of controlling the water spreading on the rice paper. A great way to help you feel calm and relaxed whilst having fun! (Cost £150 inclusive of 20% VAT) |
| Lego & Craft (10 spaces) | Rec - Year 3 | Have fun completing Lego building challenges and getting creative with simple, fun craft activities. Children will have the chance to build, make and explore their creativity in a relaxed and enjoyable club suitable for Reception to Year 3 children. (Free) |

| Green Car Club (10 spaces) | Years 5-6 | Learn to build and maintain an electric racing car. Form a pit crew to race it in a national competition. Please note that we invite Year 6 pupils who have not previously participated in the Green Car Club to take part in the club initially. If places remain available, Year 5 pupils who have not previously participated in the club will then be invited to take part. (Free) |
| Sewing (10 spaces) | Years 4-6 | Learn the basics of sewing through fun and simple projects. Children will develop their sewing skills, creativity and confidence while making something they can be proud of. (Free) |

| Chess (20 spaces) | Years 1 - 6 | Premier Chess Coaching Ltd. have been running many successful chess clubs around London for the past 10 years. During each week of chess club, there is a lesson on a professional demonstration board, weekly tournament game with end-of-term prizes and mini games for complete beginners. Premier Chess Coaching is run by Tomer Eden, who is a British Chess Master and has helped some of his schools win National Under 11 and Under 9 titles. | Dance (15 spaces) | Years 1-6 | Develop coordination and dexterity with the Lisa Gilbert Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts gymnastics lessons. (Cost £150 inclusive of 20% VAT) |
| Little Lions Angels (4 spaces) | Years 5-6 | Show your caring side by coming to assist in the Nursery with the youngest students in the school. You are expected to act as positive role models and undertake duties as specified by the Nursery teachers. (Free) |
